This is my recipe for winter hibernation - 1 comfortable brown leather chair plus ottoman
1 cozy pillow with a flower embroidered on it paired (a hint of summer)
1 cozy pillow with a flower embroidered on it paired (a hint of summer)
1 fuzzy blanket (the one Maggie likes)
1 fireplace with an 'old' Brittany Spaniel curled up in front of it
2 lamps for extra ambiance plus a snicker doodle candle
1,2, or 3 glasses of red wine (depending on the length of the hibernation)
1 TV to watch House Hunters International (to be envious of people in warm places)
1 laptop computer (for blogging and social networking. This reduces the chance of going crazy)
Top all of this with 1 fuzzy brown lapdog. (Yes you can have a laptop and a lapdog at the same time if both are strategically placed.)
This is a tried and true recipe to survival in Michigan until the warm sun returns to warm our beaches, green our grass, call our flowers up from the ground, and draw us out to bask in the beauty that is summer in Michigan.
Enjoy!
