Ponderings from a thankful heart.

I am still in awe and so thankful to all the wonderful people in Nashville who stepped up with offers to help us after the flood.
Many good friends were there doing the heavy work of emptying the house of all the furniture and appliances, ripping out carpet and drywall, and of course supplying beer that was enjoyed at the end of a very tough day.
Countless students from St. Cecelia, where Maggie teaches, showed up on the first day to help with the worst part of the clean up process.
Pastors and friends from Hope Park church, where Matt and Maggie attend, did what ever was needed.  Ladies from Maggie's mom's tennis team and neighbors from the Cornwall's neighborhood cleaned, bleached, scrubbed, sanitized dishes and clothing that could be salvaged and they made sure we ate well, bringing in delicious meals each night.
I am honored and humbled to have met so many amazing people. You have been a blessing in our lives and what you have done is deeply appreciated.
I am giving Thanks with a Grateful heart!!

Colossians 3:12-17 ESV ~ Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
